EBZ Moving & Storage - Helpful Hints*

  • Pack books, DVDs, CDs, and small items in small boxes. Pack larger items (bedding, clothes, etc.) in larger boxes.
  • Clothing can be left in dresser drawers, but please be sure to remove any breakable, small, or liquid items.
  • Be available for the movers to ask directions and questions regarding the placement and handling of your furniture.
  • Properly label the contents of your boxes on the top, as well as what room you would like the box to be placed in your new location.
  • To assist movers with the layout of your new location, tape index cards with the name of the room on the door frames where the name of the room would not be obvious to the mover.
  • Mark boxes FRAGILE only as needed. Writing it on every box is redundant.
  • Drain all gas from gas operated machinery and disconnect the propane tank from your grill.
  • We’d prefer you NOT to use boxes from the liquor store.  Not only are they small, but they are all shaped differently, making them difficult to stack in the truck.
  • Have young children and pets stay at a friend's house. It will be safer and less stressful for them as well as make it less likely they interfere with moving activities.
